At ITC JSC, a company deeply committed to the development of a sustainable and inclusive maritime workforce, we proudly join the global maritime community in celebrating the International Day for Women in Maritime on May 18, 2025.

This annual observance, designated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is a meaningful occasion to honor the women who have been, are, and will continue to assert their place in an industry long considered the domain of men.

The image of a woman in protective gear, walking steadily across a ship’s deck in the middle of the ocean, is no longer a rare sight. But behind that image lies a journey filled with obstacles—waves not only at sea but also of social bias, doubt, and the invisible barriers that women in maritime have had to overcome.

To become a female seafarer requires not only knowledge and skills, but also immense courage. These women are not just navigating the oceans, but also breaking through boundaries set by societal expectations. They are not here to prove that women can “do what men do,” but to show that women can excel in their own way—with precision, resilience, and a remarkable sense of responsibility.

💙 Honoring the Women Who Keep the Sea Moving

On this special occasion, ITC extends our heartfelt gratitude and admiration to all the women who contribute every day to the growth of the maritime industry, whether aboard ships, in control rooms, or supporting operations on shore:

  • To the female seafarers – those who work on the front lines, weathering the high seas with discipline, steel-like determination, and an enduring passion for their profession.

  • To the female students pursuing maritime studies – the future seafarers preparing themselves with knowledge, spirit, and skills. You represent a new generation: more confident, more proactive, and ready to explore paths few women have dared to walk before.

  • To the female professionals in shipping companies, operation centers, technical departments, and maritime administration units – those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the wheels of this global industry turning, day and night.

Regardless of your role, you are collectively reshaping the modern maritime landscape into one that is inclusive, equitable, and supportive of everyone’s growth.

🌟 “An Ocean of Opportunities” – A Message for Our Time

In 2025, the IMO has chosen the theme “An Ocean of Opportunities” as a powerful call to the global maritime sector: open the doors for women—not through privilege, but through genuine fairness grounded in education, inclusive policies, supportive workplaces, and meaningful recognition.

At ITC, we believe the sea makes no distinction between genders. What the sea demands is capability, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility. And we firmly believe that in the near future, more and more Vietnamese women will take their rightful place on the international maritime map—helping to define a new generation of seafarers: diverse, professional, and sustainable.

This belief is not just part of our values, but embedded in our actions. ITC continues to create pathways for women to access training opportunities, leadership roles, and meaningful career advancement at sea and on shore. By fostering an environment that values both competence and character—regardless of gender—we are helping shape a maritime industry that reflects the diversity of the world it serves.

🌈 Wishing Strength and Pride to the “Roses of the Sea”

On this International Day for Women in Maritime, ITC sends our best wishes to all the women working in the industry—may you have strength, joy, and determination to keep shining on the path you have chosen, whether on the deck of a ship or in the quiet offices that support every voyage.

We wish you continued confidence, courage, grace, and pride—because the maritime world needs you, and the ocean always welcomes those who dare to dream big and sail far.

An Ocean of Opportunities – A Journey of Courage

ITC – Proud to stand with women who sail, lead, and inspire.
